Leonard Oakes Estate Winery Donates $1,526 to Hospice of Orleans
Albion, NY – With the introduction of Blanc d’Orleans, a new white wine first produced from the 2008 vintage and named in honor of Orleans County, Leonard Oakes Estate Winery has donated a percentage of the proceeds from the retail and wholesale sales as well as the bottles poured for tasting to further support the mission of Hospice.
Wendy Oakes Wilson, the winery’s president, knows from family experience the difference Hospice makes in the community. “My grandmother Eloise (Leonard’s widow) was a passionate supporter of the concept of Hospice and in perpetuation of her memory, we have decided to continue supporting the hospice mission in her honor. In this simple way we can have an impact on the community as a whole”.
“We extend sincere gratitude for this unique and generous donation and encourage you to support those businesses that sustain our vital work” stated Cora Goyette, Development Director.
